just to say me and Max had a fabulous time in Prague - although have to say it's not as cheap as everyone says it is, it's also a very grubby, grimy city - but historically and architecturally fascinating. ... and the Czech people are so goddam RUDE it's laughable!!!!

anyhoo here's a few pics (I haven't done any of Max as that's her call really, excep the picture with all the fairies is where her lovely face is peeking out on the back row!!).

btw - the theme for the Big Saturday Night out was Fairies - just to put your minds at rest in case you think I think this is de rigeur to go out in!!!

btw - the one in the front right in all black is a lesbian which accounts for her Oberon'esque appearance!!!! (her partner is the more feminine Titania on the left hand side!

Me, my mate Wendy on right and Mandy (the Birthday girl) in the middle. On Charles Bridge. A fascinating bridge built in 1351 and the first bridge built across the river Vltava . It's only foot passengers these days and was completed submerged in the floods a couple of years ago. The river was a lot more fast flowing that the Thames but there was a lot less traffic on it.

Me, Wendy and Mandy in a Czech restuarant, where Wendy was served a very very very bad glass of wine (it smelt like paint stripper!!!) but would the waiters believe us - oh no!!!! until one of them took a sip and couldn't conceal his facial expressions (imagine a face that has simultaneously sucked on lemons and cyanide - and you may just about have it!!!) and very ungraciously conceded it may well be OFF!!!! YEH LOVEY JUST A TOUCH!!!!! oh what larks!!!

I dont' have a picture of the next night's meal when the hapless Wendy was served sausages instead of pork in sauce and the waiters were once again SO gracious in their apologies!!!! Czech folk ... you gotta love 'em for their humour and charm by-passes alone!!!!

btw - one of my best friends is Czech and she agrees - but as she speaks fluent English and Czech and is used to the manners of Western Europe she puts up with no sh*t and tell's 'em if she thinks they are being rude in no uncertain terms!!!! (she is still (by UK standards) very very rude and abrupt!). next time I'm going back with her to stick up for me!!! also in Czech they have a Czech menu for indiginous population and a more expensive tourist menu - if you've got the balls to ask for the Czech menu I applaud you!!!!).

Whoops! I did one of Max - but I'm sure she wont mind as she looks delicious (well compared to me and the guard!!!). This was taken at Prague Castle which is complete mismash of archictecture and all the more fascinating for it. Very very very cold up here!
