Brian and Jenny were in college and lived in a 2 bedroom house and swore to their parents they were just 'room mates'. Well, Brian's mom was very sceptical to say the least. Brian and Jenny decided to have a big dinner an invite both families and some friends over and do up a nice meal, hoping especially to show Brian's mom that things were on the up and up. Well, the dinner came and everyone had loads of fun and food and Brian's mom was well impressed with Jenny's cooking skills. She even helped in clearing the table and washing the dishes. Well, a few weeks went by and Jenny was looking for a certain silver gravy ladle. Her and Brian looked high and low. The las person Jenny remembered seeing it with was Brian's mom as she helped was dishes. So Brian e-mails his mom and asks her if she has the ladle, maybe took it home by accident. He said "I'm not saying you did, but if you did it's ok, we just need it back for another dinner we are giving." Brian's mother replied, "No, I don't have the ladle, but if you and Jenny are really just room mates like you say you are, which I'm not saying you're not, she'd have found it in her bed a few weeks ago!"
