Kooks - good to hear from you! :applause:

Have a ball in HK and do pop in and let us know how it's going occasionally! Did you take your fella with you or is he history now? I've still got my hat just in case :)

Is it really that long since our paths first crossed? Goodness me, doesn't time fly!

Btw ..... what is bebo?

Stanley's changed since I was there... It's like a mall now

Kooks.

Where abouts are you - remember I used to live there. I was firstly in Wanchai. Above Carnegies with my office over JB's on the adjacent block.

Could only take so much before moving out to Happy Valley (I say out - but it was/is residential)

Give it my love and regards.... Let it know I am still alive - JUST !!!!!!!!

all the best Kooky in your new life!

I shall ever picture you in your tartan mini-skirt - although I've never actually seen a photo of it - but that post you made really stuck in my mind all those years ago!

take care and BEHAVE!

well i havent had much time on the net, its been a flurry of meals out, interviews, and shopping. but taking it easy on the jobs front, not desparate yet. my bf has got a job teaching english but is currently still in uk waiting for his visa so i'll just chill out till then.

slips, im living half in kwun tong and half in tai po with different family members. waiting for bf before i get a flat. but im aiming for kowloon area, cheaper and still accessible to most of hk, most definately not living on island, monk kok or new territories. i hear wan chai is a red light district!! lol. on fri i will be hitting the lan kwai fong!!!

stanley market?? you have been conned, your best to go to monk kok for ladies market or fa yuen street, same stuff but cheaper!! even in ladies market the prices of things are hiked up majorly so you still have to haggle.

doll?? what did i say about a tartan mini-skirt?? i remember which skirt it is, but have not worn it in ages!! getting old you see??

and bebo is like a myspace

Ah you see I became a bit of an Island snob. I'd only pass through Kowloon to get to the airport or to get out to Sai Kung (My cousin lived up there)

Red light district?.....well Lockhart road was the strip off pole dancing bars but that was about as seedy as it got while I was there. Mainly expat bars and clubs around Luard Road. I suppose if you include one or two of the fillopino clinger ons you'll get a sort of trade but not my scene dear..

I think more dodgey business happened on Cheung Chau with all the teenagers!!

Yep, Stanley became a con. My fave when not up in the territories was Big Wave Bay and Shek O. Lamma was good for a chill out as well

well i think there are more and more bars in wan chai these days with fillipinos offering their services!!

the reason im not staying on the island is because it too commercialised when my friends come and stay i want them to experience real hk, thats why i love it here, so different between island and new territories.
