We are in the process of getting the house ready to be put on the market.
It is looking the best it's ever looked! Hubby's been putting a few coats of paints on in different rooms and now it looks all lovely and tidy, and we never get to appreciate it this way!
Since living here we've always seemed to be in a total tip.
I blame the two kids.

Anyway, to moving.
We are moving to an area about 6 miles out of Blackpool, basically cause there is more going on up there.
Better schools, better access to more cities, better prospects.
Pretty much anywhere in the country is better than whats going on here, really.

We went on a recon. mission last weekend and have found the area we would like to live, it's now just getting the house sorted, getting it on the market, getting someone to buy it, finding our ideal house, getting the searches/surveys done, getting me a job, getting the kids a new school (which incidentally are much better there than here).
So not much stress then!:shocking:

Wish me luck!

Luck!

How exciting Andrea. Worst bit about selling is having to keep it tidy for the viewings.

I've met a loverly older gent from New Oxford...where's that in relation to any of you?? His d-i-l is in hospital, 6 mos. prenant and having to stay there due to sudden complications. He came to pick up his grandchild and I had to show him how to sign her out etc, and caught his accent. I said, "If you don't mind me asking, where are you from b/c that's not a Mississippi boys' accent!" He laughed really sweetly and told me he was from New Oxford and I told him I talk to a bunch of nutters...er, folks from all over the UK, and he noticed my last name on my desk and that got a conversation started...anyway, he makes a point of coming by to say 'Cheerio' when he picks up the little girl. He's in his late 60's and very suave!!:sun:

Good luck Andrea - i hope it all goes smoothly for you. Moving is a complete nightmare ... and i vow not to do it again myself in a long time. I moved twice in 3 years - and i still havent recovered

I hope everything runs perfectly for you, and that you find your ideal home soon.

All the best Andrea and remember to include the kids in your asking price...you'd be amazed how many people fall for that and buy the kids as well as the house and so solving all your whoas in one fail swoop!

I think you'll find a new bathroom and a fitted kitchen are more of a draw...:ninja:

I dunno...I reckon Andrea's kids are resonably cute...aren't they?

Andrea..there is a new web site called www.moveme.com - it's only ten days old but was featured on Steve Wright in the afternoon today...its free and helps with reminders and stuff about all you need to know with regards to moving house! :nerd:

Dunno if it'll help but hey I've told you so the rest is up to you :sly:
