What I want to know is, what is going to happen to those poor little ostrich babies when Daddy Joe has to abandon them? They have obviously become quite attached to him. Surely (and especially since we're in England) this is a Cruelty to Emus!!

They are being fattened up for the oven on xmas day... a little aussie tradition.

I wondered the same thing! It's cruel, letting them bond with him and then whisking him off. Poor little things.

I read that too normal, but you forgot to mention that the aborigines cut of their little feet first to make trinkets with.

I have to blame the empty bottle of wine for my slip of the keys earlier which made the word 'emu' mysteriously look like 'ostrich'. None of you noticed fortunately, but I thought I'd mention it before anyone does!
And while I'm at it...I think Joe should stay in and become King of the Jungle. I don't care what they say about him sitting on the fence. To me he definitely has his opinions, he just knows when not to voice them! And he's definitely worth keeping in for the amusement factor....apart from looking after his emu babies (obviously!)

Emus aren't ostriches. Ant and Dec are EMUS. :boxing: :ranting:
