Apparently all the children get an orange, representing the world, with a candle stuck in the top, and all stand round the church while singing hymns and carols. Hold up ten fingers, and whatever you are timesing 9 by put that finger down and the fingers on the left side of the down finger are the tens and the fingers on the right of the down finger are the one's. E.G. 5 X 9.....put down your fifth finger (working from left to right) you have 4 fingers on the left so that makes 40 and on the right you have 5 fingers so that makes 5 ones, a total of 45.
