I thought it was a blooming cheek that Nathalie and Brian Harvey having decided they couldnt hack it and walking out thus doing their charities out of thousands of pounds have the cheek to be there at the finale! I could have pulled that stupid Chavvie cap over Brian's eyes and I just wanted to slap Natalie, WHO on earth is interested in this woman's opinion??. You couldnt cope with it either of you so you should have been put on the next plane HOME not put up in the plush Versace hotel!!! Fume fume!!!

I thought Brian was dashing back to the UK as he was grieving? He didn't seem too grief stricken last night did he?

Its apparently a 6 star hotel (I didnt know you could get them  ) and it was very very plush and wonderful. Lucky them eh, they got a good weeks holiday for free

No, they shouldn't have been there, they broke the contract and should have paid their way home.

I'm hard me! :boxing:

It was probably in their contract that they had to appear last night.
Natalie likes to be the centre of attention doesn't she?

Brian had a million and 1 excuses to leave according to him. A wedding? Grieving? Other peoples attitudes? There were other things said in the papers too, so who knows, just sounded like excuses.

In all fairness to Nat, she did go in with many fobia's, all of her family had said they were shocked she had agreed to do it. As much as everyone said she was a baby for that "oh my god I touched a tree" thing, they had been told just prior to entering of all the things that lived on the tree's. She also did do more challenges than any other contestant despite her obviously being the one with the most fears, which took a lot of guts.

I dont think there was anything wrong with Nat being there at the end. Brian on the other hand, definately had no right to be there.

Yeah, I pretty much agree with this. Although Nat was a total whinger she did "try" to do 5 BTT before throwing in the towel. Brian on the other hand done one trial, and yes it was an awful one. However his main reason for leaving was because he farted and he couldn't take the flak from old Gob Features Janet. He moaned about the wet rice, the flies etc and then buggered off to the 6-start Versace hotel. I just wonder how much that cost for his additional nights. He did claim before he left that he was skint, so I wonder if it a ploy for him to get his girlfriend over and then he jacks it in, but they get a free holiday out of it! Remember, he came out of the jungle on the day that Emma B arrived...............

Okay, one thing I dont understand about all this "leaving before being voted out because I just cant take it anymore, for whatever reason".

Anyone remember the first person that walked out of IAC? It was Daniella Westbrook. She finally walked out of the camp, the others kissed and hugged her, and then she was filmed walking across the bridge on her own, walking through the studio on her own and with no one to meet her, walking outside to a waiting car and was whisked back to the hotel to be reunited with her hubby. At NO time was she given any special treatment. In fact it looked like she was being ignored and deliberately punished for walking out.

Then we have Brian Harvey and Natalie Appleton quitting before they were voted out. BOTH of these people, were met by staff as they came off the bridge, Brian was even filmed and we had a small comedy routine of him buying the entire stock of MacDonalds up while riding in a limo. Next day there was a nice long interview with Brian Quitter Harvey (Danielle didnt get an interview), and Natalie Appleton has been seen in three or four small interviews from the hotel.
I have no great fondness for Daniella Westbrook, but the way she was treated when she left and the way the latest two quitters were treated, was so incredibly different. If she'd have flown straight home, I could understand it, but she didnt !!

Oh and I agree, with Ceri, Brian DID say, "I need to go home, I need to grieve, I need to be wiv me fahhhhhmilyyyyy" - what he really meant was "but first folks Ill milk any interview they give me for all Im worth and have an extra weeks holiday in a five star hotel in Oz, all on ITV" ....

Nat DID deserve to be there - alright, so she acted like a pathetic whingebag throughout the entire show, but at least she gave it a go - Brian, however, stuck around for a few days, decided he missed his Big Macs and buggered off. What happened to all the 'grieving' he was supposed to be doing? He did not deserve to be there, but I believe that Nat did. She was forced to do 5 BTT's, the poor kid. I don't blame her for leaving! And she did manage to cope with the jungle lifestyle for at least a week.
So in conclusion, Nat = yes, Brian = no.

Natz kept going untill there was nothing left of her and didn't leave untill it was eviction time anyway. (And she more than likely would have bin voted out 1st).

I felt sorry 4 Bri and his Trial was sik but he did wimp out way 2 soon Natz deserved to be there and Bri didn't but I think he had 2 really, probably in his contract.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with many of you who are already trying to find excuses for Natalie Appleton...she's not the only one who had to face phobias and that's definetely not an excuse for acting OTT 99.9% of the time...She was not forced to go in the jungle,so deal with the consequences then!...
I have no sympathy for her because she was resentful of people who were doing well in the jungle and because she never made any efforts.
She was NOMINATED for 5 BBT but she only really tried to do one...and even that one took 3 hours to film (thanks in the editing room)...
She wanted the benefits but didn't want to work for it...I have no respect for her whatsoever and honestly she should really try to hide for a bit instead of talking us to death....

As far as Im concerned, it doesnt matter how many bush tucker trials/whingeing/arguing you have done - if you walk out of the jungle before being voted out, you have broken your contract and therefore (1) shouldnt be paid your fee and (2) shouldnt be allowed an exit interview ....... Daniella Westbrook never got one so why did Natalie and Brian?
