View Full Version : My Ultimate Celeb List
Eternity 07-12-2004, 07:19 PM All TV show characters, a brilliant mix - if I do say so myself!
Victor Meldrew (One foot in the Grave)
Dellboy (Only Fools)
Baldrick (Blackadder)
Nick (My Family)
Bazil (Faulty Towers)
Geraldine (Vicar of Dibley)
Mrs Bucket (Keeping up Appearances)
Pauline Fowler (Eastenders)
Patsy (Ab Fab)
Margo (The Good Life)
Yes, I know, many oldies in there, but I like the mix!
Who would you chose? No more than one from any show you like?
I could only manage 8:
Mr Humphries (are you being served)
Dougal (Father Ted)
Rab c. Nesbitt
Rigsby (Rising Damp)
Guy (Green Room)
Dot Cotton (Eastenders)
Bet Lynch (Coronation Street)
Dorien (Birds of a Feather)

I would liked to have has Rab C in there too, but I though Baldrick was a big enough a slob for them to cope with as was - I have visions of him doing the cooking after the Buried Alive BTT!
Dorien is another I never thought of, maybe a better choice than Margo, but her and Patsy together 'man hunting' could be a laugh!
Margo was great; so were the rest of the cast of the good life.
Eternity 07-12-2004, 08:53 PM The only one you have chosen that I could not put up with is Bet Lynch, I really never took to her Zip, but the rest are great!
It's a man (and apparently gay, or so I've read) thing. If that makes sense. Bet was a real drama queen; bit like Paul really. (Don't worry, I like Paul).
Please excuse my cryptic style of writing, but I'm a two finger typist, and I'm not used to the boards. I've written fiction, but I'm rubbish at posts. Anyway, thanks for your reply.
Woodstock 10-12-2004, 02:06 AM I'm just wondering what Vic Meldrew would say upon being voted "king of the jungle"....hmm, tough one!! I also think it would kick off on the first night between Mr.Fawlty and Meldrew. Wasn't the last "Vic" on the show a major disappointment too?? - NO MORE VICS!!
My ten celebs would be (ladies first) - Dawn French, Rusty Lee (or Floella Benjamin on stand-by) Charlie Brooks, Cyndi Lauper, Katie Puckrik.......and the gents as follows, John McEnroe, Larry Hagman, Lenny Henry, Leo Sayer, and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall (poss. Ray Mears on stand-by.....hmm, bet he'd struggle in the bush!)
makes you think and realise how little you know about the real selves behind the personas, until they get there. i mean, JimVic (or VicJim) who'd have thought such a boring personality lurked behind Vic Reeves. makes it difficult to choose, but i will give it a try. i know the osmonds quite well (not personally, just through their magazines that i used to devour, right down to Ma Osmonds recipes and tips on life), so i would probably include one of them. But not Ma Osmond, cos she's dead.
