She sure is. I'd love to know the inside story though. It'll be interesting to see what the other contestants think of him as she seems pretty sure they all feel the same way as her.

Whatever the case may be, there was no cause to be so shockingly rude and discourteous. But then I suppose we should expect no less from a member of that family.

I think I agree with what you (?) said in another thread, Max. She quite possibly just won the competition for Steve.

I think she has given Steve the competition!

Her attack on Steve was brutal.

Ignoring her actual words, I heard "this is all a fix anyway so what the f........". Definitely something going on behind the scenes there as Steve didnt deserve that. I think he's very average too, but she went off the rails a bit.

Wonder if she thinks Tabby got "managed out" by Simon, hmmmm, curiouser and curiouser.....

She has been a nasty bitch all through this - just getting worse and worse as she goes on. She is making it so that if Steve wins it's down to her, but she can then scream 'fix' - she's a crafty cow!

I'm another one who thinks Sharon just won this for Steve. I almost, almost reached for the phone and voted. It's a shame really that it is between Louis and Simon and not G4 and Steve. They are both good, but I think G4 are just that bit more talented.

Steve's girlfriend was just asked on ITV2 to comment on Sharon's outburst. She can't understand where it's all coming from and said that he definitely isn't a fake. "With Steve, what you see is what you get."

She said he's been really struggling this week with the personal attacks from Louis and Sharon, and that this afternoon Sharon threw a "real wobbler" at him during his final rehearsal. She said, "I can't repeat what she said on television. But why on earth would anyone want to do that to someone during his final rehearsal?"

Grrr!

maxine
11-12-2004, 08:26 PM
It's very strange isn't it?

Is she really that stupid that she thinks this sort of outburst is going to put the public off Steve? It's far more likely to give him the sympathy vote. Even if he doesn't win I reckon a lot more people will vote for him purely because of Sharon's remarks.

And I thought you didn't watch things like this Blink :)

As Cat said previously Sharon and Louis are undoubtedly to##ers of the first order, but are they also so stupid that they didn't realise comments like that would lose it for G4? From the remarks on these forums and elsewhere it looks like Steve and G4 have roughly the same number of supporters. X-factor is Simon’s baby and Il Divo his pop opera quartet. I can smell something odd and it's not because I need a bath.

Steve didn't win this - G4 lost it because of Louis and Sharon being raging idiots.

Right from the beginning Sharon has stated she didn't want Simon to win, she said she was doing this show to get her own back on Simon after the stuff he said about her family, she also made a pact with Louis that they would stick together, so poor Steve had to suffer for the sake of their silly game. I really believe she thought she could influence people to vote against Steve, she thinks she's so popular that people would follow her blindly. I found her outburst embarrassing and small-minded.
I love how Sharon said that Steve tries to get the sympathy vote, when if I recall blondie from G4 was crying the other week, about how his Mum was too ill to come to the show (she actually had a cold), but he made it sound like she was on her last legs, sympathy vote here anyone?
Steve deserved to win, G4 have great voices, but their constant signing to get people to vote for them got on my nerves, and the blonde one is oily in the extreme. But the main reason I wouldn't vote for them, is I just don't like their sound. The blonde one's voice over-dominates every song, and every song ends up sounding the same, and I'm no opera buff I'm afraid.

Dolores

I would imagine that Sharon's unforgiveable, small minded and downright nasty outburst is something she will be proud of until the end of her days, and will discuss endlessly with her over-rated and scary family.

I like people who are forthright and speak their mind, but not when it comes at the price of being mind numbingly mean to someone who doesn't deserve it (ie. Steve). Whether he is an arrogant, fake of a man is neither here nor there, I thought we were supposed to judge on their singing talent.

Now I wanted Steve to win, but mainly cos I coldn't stand Louis or Sharon. Personally I think Steve is mediocre in the extreme and without exception everything he sang was better sang by the original artists.

I remember that Sharon also didn't like some young black girl who had a fantastic voice but unfortunately was cleverer than Sharon and had been to university so Sharon dismissed her as over confident and cocky. Sharon is a nasty jealous cow who will make a fortune off her little out burst in any number of tacky daily and Sunday tabloids.

And what about Sharon's blatant play for the sympathy vote when she mentioned about Tabby's rough week in the tabloids a couple of weeks ago? I can't work out where she gets this 'playing the victim' ffrom anyway. Because he didn't know whether to sell his car?? Not really likely to evoke an outpouring of sympathy.

The judges were there to give constructive criticism, hers was not.

Mr Cat's theory is that she has always been a greebo and loved hairy arsed greebo's. Steve is a smooth operator.

In her teens he would have been in the opposing gang, a different tribe. This still lies with her today.

I don't quite understand what you are saying Bridge, just because I don't think he has the X factor doesn't mean that I think he is crap because I don't.

And whether he is fake or not this was not the time or the place for Sharon to speak her mind. I am all for people speaking their minds but not in the vinditive and nasty way that she did. She was asked to comment on his performances not on his character.

I cant believe Sharon Osbourne had the almighty cheek to say she doesnt like "people who play the victim ...."

This coming from someone who positively wallows in playing the victim !!! I couldnt believe the press conference she held after being burgled. "Ive worked hard for the jewellery that was stolen", "I hope the scum rots in hell" etc etc ........ obviously having forgotten that Ozzy Osbourne used to nick tellys out of people's houses and went to prison for it.

What goes round, comes round Sharon ..... her evil gob basically won that final for Steve, and it serves the plastic, over made up hag right.

yes, well, and if she had managed to manage Tabby a bit better, he might have been in the final and we would have been spared the sour grape juice (more like snake venom).

by managing Tabby better, i mean if she could have found some not-so obvious rock numbers he could have made his own instead of parroting to the last syllable, but then again, she's married to a rocker, maybe she has nothing in her gramaphone collection than crusty old rock songs.

That is interesting. Part of the poetic justice for Sharon is that she happened to be managing two such likeable youngsters, Tabby and Cassie, who obviously have a great respect for her, unlike her own obnoxiously behaved sprogs Jack and Kelly. She must be wondering where she went wrong.

I am sure she must be gutted at the way Jack & Kelly have turned out. They are spoilt brats, who really wanted for nothing but still turned to drugs & drink before they are even 20! They do have a 3rd daughter Aimee who you never see and to my knowledge didn't take part in their show.

I wonder if that is why they gave Sharon the youngsters................

Hae the voting figures been released yet? Once they are, we might get a clearer picture of what happened.

There's a very good chance that Steve would have won whether Sharon was abusive to him or not. I suspect the judges knew how the voting was going long before the public. With hindsight, I think Sharon may have discovered Steve was too far ahead to be caught, so thought she may as well throw in the towel and tell him how she felt.

Another of the "I tell it like it is" brigade who use that tired old excuse for pig-headed ignorance to cover up for their total lack of social graces.

We might never know why Sharon said what she said, but I hope she never gets asked to do anything like this again.
