Re Tony - Hard to say Pan...I didn't think so...
Re Smiffy - *sigh*

Anyone else getting more than a little tired of the taxi cab rapist story... Just get on with it and move on...it has displayed some of the cheesiest acting to date from the victim...still he's confessed no so please let this be the last we hear of it!

Glad Husky and Slime have split up...they really did not go well together...no chemistry whatsoever...unlike Husky and Hunter!

Cant have been legal the way Smiffy trapped him with that recording, would have been entrapment wouldnt it?

Yes the "victim" is very wooden and this one is dragging on..............

Makes me laugh every time I see the beginning to the The Mummy Returns - Terry is one of the baddies at the beginning !

LOL, you can't imagine being a bad guy can you? And Mr Eko from Lost is in it as well

I am just catching up The Bill again as for some reason that I can't remember I missed a huge chunk of it, didn't know that Okara was gone and can't stand his replacement.

I do like June but I agree it is time for her to retire "again"!

Anyone watch last night Husky and Phil in Romania. After the pantomime car chase, they finally get it on in some tired and tacky hotel room. She is hyperventilating with fear (not like our tough cookie at all) and Phil "comforts" her.

Ive been away and so missed a few episodes, so thanks for the little updates ladies.

The last episode I saw was the rapist versus smiffy in the interview suite and Im with MariaRob all the way - it was blatant entrapment and would be thrown out of Court. The dialogue and the acting was appalling and yep, it went on for far too long.

Good to hear that Husky and sexy Phil have got together, bet that will put Slimes nose out of joint.

I know everyone hates Zain but Im rather excited he appeared so much in The Bill this week... yummmmmmy.

As for Mickey Webb being accused of rape and suspended - errrrrrr just HOW much can happen to one copper? Its getting bloody ridiculous now.

Nice to see the ginger Super's nose being put out of joint when he realised his wife was having an affair (he's been having one too).

Has anything happened to Roger Valentine while Ive been away? I didnt see much of him.

And ooooooooooooooh just how right were we about the dead-eyed-solicitor, Matt, working at the nick who wants to marry Emma? He's got psycho written all over him. I reckon that whats his name, errr Gary Lucy's character, will investigate his ex wife (who Matt says died tragically) and find out he did her in or summat......

I have missed a few episodes myself and agree there doesn't seem to have been much of Roger lately although I think he pops up this week...;)

I reckon you could be right about psycho solicitor...sounds like the kind of far out plot line the writers like to take on these days...whatever happened to a bit of good for honest policing...chasing villans around the street and bundles with baddies? :bored:

Its Kezia I think. Yep it was a ludicrous storyline which led neatly to her deciding to "cool it" with Smiffy. It was as if the writers needed an excuse. As you say, whether or not Gina and Smiffy get on, she WOULD have disciplined him.

Although I fancy him, I loved the fact that Zain was pulled down a peg or two and it all went pear shaped guv at Kristin's club. Looks like theyve both been playing him like a fiddle all along and D.I. Manson was right, Zains got nothing despite being undercover all that time.

Fick Phil played right into Slimy Stu's hands by revealing that he and Sam had been bonking in Romania... cue Slimey trying to lay some poison down.

Whats happened to Reg again? And Roger?

And a big LOLOLOLOL @ 'supercop' Emma suddenly developing blinkers when it comes to her fiance's odd behaviour - ie. not allowing her to arrange anything for the wedding - not even the napkins..... Control Freak anyone?

Anyone see the Bill on Wednesday with Gillian Taylforth’s debut? Doesn’t she look fab for nearly 50? But did anyone notice her hairstyle at the beginning was quite long and floppy and a darker colour at the back, then the next scene it was shorter and more sleek and all one colour blonde and the last scene it was was long and floppy and a darker colour again – talk about shooting cenes out of sequence!!

I didnt notice the continuity error dammit lol ! Gillian does indeed look good but has a lot of help with Botox (shes admitted it), which you can tell.

Awwww Yvonnes left. Gillian Taylforth is taking her place, Sam and Phil are sleeping together again and Stuart the Slime is hating it. Heh.

Im still not liking the ginger Superintendent, and his office liaisons with Kazia Pelka, the unlikely head honcho at the Yard make me cringe.

Anyone else think that Dan Caspar look like the actress that played Candice in Corrie? Same werewolfy, league of gentleman, piggy nose.

Bit of a rubbishy episode last night I thought. Linda Robson got stabbed (gawd dint she look rough  ), Gina got a new fella (he is her real life husband), Terry got back together with his wife and Sam Nixon suddenly decided (and was allowed) to take 'a few weeks off', decided that she couldnt trust Phil, wanted the relationship to end, gave him a kiss and off she went.
Obviously had no pending cases to sort before she shot out the door..... :glare:

Load of badly written rubbish last night.

Husky gets alot of leave or is it just me?

She took yonks off over the psycho psychologist guy and her daughter and now because she's cracking up over Phil...

Smiffy needs to realise he can do better and what of Gina and that bloke who usually plays a Doctor type...

Still want them to get back to the old fashioned policing and stop dwelling on these love stories/triangles...Will get a life or leave!

Pandora
27-11-2006, 04:19 PM
Yes its turning into a bit of a soap opera isnt it? :sleepy: I think thats the mistake they made with CSI Miami which seems to dwell far too much on the characters love lives/problems, whereas the original CSI:Vegas concentrates on the crime.

Made me laugh the way Husky just decides to have weeks and weeks off work and leaves that day..... :bored:

I hope Micky gets back with the nice Press Officer, and did I mention that Gina's new bloke is her real life husband?

Now then, we havent had a murderous, serial killing lunatic in Sun Hill for, ooooh, mebbe 6 months? So, is dead eyed CPS man (Emma's bloke) going to be the next one? We've had the crazy Superintendent, Cathy Madford (who I loved) and Gabriel, with small appearance from google eyed Honey's fiance....... so its about time someone else flipped and started carving their way through the cast isnt it?

And the 'little girl is she or isnt she dead' storyline continues eh??? I still think the father has done it all along and we are being lured into really feeling for him and liking him........ as Neil Manson does.

Coastie

Gosh I forgot about the missing girl...since I went a while without catching the show I thought that story line had died a death already...The father did it and if we were supposed to feel any kind of empathy for him it's bad casting IMO...he just looks decidedly dodgey and is more than a little creepy! :shocking:

Aww bless...Gina mixing work and pleasure eh....oooo they must get on well mustn't they

CPS guy has got to be the next nutter...he will 'kidnap' Will at some stage and make a bit of a mess of him....but it will be because Will goes round to his house to sort him out...the fiance will come home and catch them still in the house and attempt to talk nutter round but by this time he will have lost it...he will tie her up aswell...play Stealers Wheel 'Stuck in the Middle with you' and cut Wills ear off...we will rejoice as it will mean the end of Will and we will will feel smug because we knew it would turn out like that.:good:

God, The Bill had better buck its ideas up a bit ! The Zain/Kristin/Paul Undercover double double cross has gone on far too long and we are now told that the drugs shipment is coming in during February which means we have another TWO months to endure the storyline ? Good grief.

The Dan Caspar steroids/boxing storyline is rubbish - mainly because he couldnt act his way out of a paper bag.

June's crumpled face is getting on my nerves. Are we honestly expected to believe that she would move into her new man's home before even meeting his teenage children????????

We need some strong storylines and soon! (Though the sinister CPS guy and Emma looks promising).

Coastie

I just want them to start nicking villans again and stop jumpting into each others beds and squabbling with each other!

And when in the begeebers are they going to find that flippin' kid! :wallbash:

Lets have a spate of burglaries commited by a father and his six year old son...he posts the kid through small windows kid lets him in etc...

Then have a gang of yoblets running riot around the locl shopping centre and they get hold of Casper and give him a good kicking which ends his acting...no thats a the wrong word...boxing and police career in a oner!

Zaine dumps Aussie crime bint and runs away with Pandora and I turn up, clock the superintendent over the head, bin 'im and take over the running of Sunhill...starting with the promotion of the star of the show...Inspector Gold! :w00t:

Pandora
10-12-2006, 04:39 PM
Some nice ideas there Coastie !! Im particularly taken with me getting my leg over with Zaine and the Gingah Super being dumped !

They surely cant drag out the 'little girl/grieving father' story out for much longer? I wonder if they will go all Eastenders on us and have her body found on Christmas Eve?

Usually with The Bill you can see other storylines and plots developing but at the moment I cant !

There is hardly any uniform action at the moment either, it all seems to involve the private lives of the coppers - ie. Caspar and his drugs, Zaine falling in love, Stuart/Husky/Phil triangle, Emma/Will/Matt love triangle....

Still, at least Roger Valentine is back, Reg is due back soon (he had a nervous breakdown in real life which is a shame) and Jo Masters is back next week according to the trailers. She looks like she is deep undercover (working for Nottingham CID) in London, and Stuart & Terry blow it......... oops.

Is there anyone in Sun Hill that Honey hasn’t bedded? I agree that The Bill is becoming a shag-a-thon and they are not concentrating so much on the police work, cant stand that new WPC who used to be in the army, she acts like she has a permanent poker stuck up her jacksie. Also she seems very short to be a cop.

Coastie
22-12-2006, 11:07 AM
Ahhh PF...they did away with height restrictions in the Police service a while ago now because they found it was discriminating against those of an ethnic background...chinese/asians tend to be shorter as a race on the whole...this in turn led to lots of shorter people joining but they still have to meet the fitness and intelligence test requirements...these vary from force to force...the Met police is also one of the easiest to get into as they are constantly crying out for recruits:good:

...as for Honey....I don't think she's slept with any of the female cast members yet but hey I'm sure there is a potential story line there for the writers to persue...much easier to do that than write a real bit of crime fighting drama after all!

Oooh I agree about boggle eyed Honey. She sleeps with everyone !! Its getting extremely 'soapy' isnt it - too much concentration of the cops' private lives.

The new WPC must be about 4ft 3. Either that or she is standing in a ditch while Honey is on horseback....

Yes and Yes Pan.

It was good wasnt it, although I cant work out which side Zain is really on. I thought it a bit daft that the brother would go on his tod to "sort out and avenge his sister" one of most violent and feared drug dealers -drrr - not a good move - but apart from that it was a cracking episode. Dont read this then Coastie, until you have watched The Bill tonight.

Good episode, however, just a couple of points :-

1. Paul Haskew - possibly one of the worst excuses for an actor (bar PC Caspar) Ive seen in ages. He was diabolical.

2. Why, when Zain and Kristin ran away at the end, did it sound like the OK Corral in the warehouse, with shots being fired non stop from Paul's gun. Not ONE shot was fired by the police, until they shot Paul dead apparently. So, did Paul's gun have an everlasting bullet chamber?

3. Why did it seem like, that from the door of the warehouse to the bridge, Honey, Zain and Kristin had about half an hour to hang about, argue and bicker about stuff?

4. And finally, how ON EARTH, did Phil Hunter manage to get through a supposed ring of steel of armed police and into the fray, managing to dive onto Haskew who was still firing off bullets in all directions like Wyatt Earp?

Terrific episode, spoiled by a ludicrous last ten minutes in my book (though Honey getting shot was quite horrible).

I thought Jack Meadows, in particular, was superb in this episode.

Zain, Phil and Paul Haskew the baddie just hammed it up.....

Coastie, this is what happened :-

Kristen’s going to buy £3m of cocaine today. Zain’s really worried with so much at stake (his career and life) – but Kristen reassures him: if it goes right they’ll be spending the rest of their lives together, in the lap of luxury. Then again, there’s plenty that can go wrong too…

Eva’s brother Santi’s pride gets the better of him and he goes to avenge his family’s honour. Now Santi is in hospital and Eva’s been set up – she and Honey are captured by Alvarez. As Eva is alive, Alvarez knows Zain was lying and hauls him in. Zain’s cover is blown!

Heaton lays down the guilt trip on everyone: as well as CID needing Zain to come through his end, the relief also need to clear up a spate of sat-navs and laptops being stolen in Sun Hill. The station is under threat of closure after all! CID are desperately trying to contact Zain.

Gun toting Alvarez holds court: Zain’s asked if he’s undercover, but he stands resolute. Eva is shot and again, Zain lies and refutes being undercover. This time Alvarez has Honey by the hair holding a gun to her stomach and again asks Zain if he’s undercover…

CID have know idea where Zain is or if he’s in danger. In a boat yard are Paul and Kristen who have just learnt Zain is undercover (he admits this because Honey is being threatened) – they’ve both been betrayed but Kristen’s had her heart ripped out. Only Zain really does love her, and if he’s going to live, he needs to prove it fast!

Will texts Honey as he’s feeling bad about not going on holiday with her. He has no idea she’s a hostage in Zain’s chaotic world. In the back of a van, Honey tries to convince Zain to cut her free but it’s clear her colleague’s loyalties lay elsewhere.

Phil uncovers clues that lead him to believe Kristen is leaving the country, possibly with Zain. He informs Jack, who’s furious to only just hear that Zain and Kristen are lovers.
Back in the boat yard Kristen believes Zain is truly in love with her and backs out of the drug deal and steals the money while Paul Haskew's back is turned.

Colombian, Alvarez is confident Zain isn’t undercover as his spies confirm the police have gone to the wrong rendezvous point. Elsewhere Neil Manson is pulling over a container lorry to uncover the drugs – only there are none. Alvarez set up a decoy and the cocaine arrives at the boat house – they just need to pay for it.

Phil finds out that Kristin owns property on Bonham Wharf (the REAL drop for the drugs) and the cops race there. The place is surrounded by armed police, just as Zain and Kristin, with the three million quid sneak away and escape. Zain runs back into the warehouse and unties Honey who comes with them.
The cops are watching the warehouse through the binoculars as Paul starts calling for Kristen to bring the money. Theres no answer, she has gone. The Colombians who want the money get nasty and there is a fight. Jack shouts "goorrrrr goorrrrrr gorrrrrr" and the armed cops surround the Alvarez and co.....
Meanwhile, Honey, Zain and Kristin are running across a bridge. From the way Kristin and Zain are talking, Honey realises that Zain has gone bad and starts shouting that he cant do this, he cant betray his job or his colleagues. Theres a lot of rowing and arguing and Kristin finally snaps and points a gun in Honeys face. There is a tense moment and Honey lunges for Kristin shouting, "Kristen Shaw, Im arresting you....." they struggle and the gun is between them, there is a shot and at first we dont know who has been shot, then Honey staggers back, looks completely shocked and terrified, glances down at a huge gunshot in her stomach, blood spurts from her mouth and she collapses on the floor, dead.

Kristin is shouting that it was an accident and Zain is trying not to panic. Meanwhile, Paul Haskew - Kristin's business partner, is holding the Colombian Alvarez hostage and also having a shoot out with the armed police like something out of a western. They cant get a shot at him so Phil Hunter breaks away from Jack, Mickey and co and runs into the warehouse (see my post above re all of this farce), dives onto Haskew, struggles with him and just as Haskew is about to fire the gun into Hunter's face, the armed cops shoot him dead.

Zain in the meantime has wrapped Honeys body in a conveniently large bit of tarpaulin, weighted it down and thrown it into the river.

Kristin has gone on ahead and has started the car. Zain runs from the bridge onto the road and is about to run toward the car when a police car pulls up behind him. He mouths "go" to Kristin (who the cops havent seen), and turns around and goes to the police car.

The last scene is of him being brought to the warehouse to Jack Meadows and co, where Zain collapses, covered in blood and looking rough.

Looks like he has some fast thinking to do!

Let's hope Zain, and his hammy acting, leave the show...

Don't worry though Pan...if he does it'll mean he can spend more time with you!

I'm glad this story line is finally coming to an end...it was dragging and not that gripping in the first place....now when are they gonna find that flippin' missing kid?!:glare:

Ahh yes, the missing kid. I still think the Dad did it.

Can I also add to my list of criticisms, that Honey, Zain and Kristen were only about 100 yards away from their colleagues, the Colombians and the armed police and yet no-one heard the gunshot when Kristin killed Honey?

Why on earth is Kristin holed up in Zain's FLAT? You would have thought she would have hidden out in a less obvious place - drrr. Did think it a good episode tho although the gassing of the family by the ex nanny was a tad far fetched I thought.

Pandora

Good episode yes. The gassing was very far fetched, however its nice to see the control freak that is Emma's husband (why can I never remember his name), starting to rev up. He has loony wife killer written all over him.

As for Kristin holing up in Zain's flat - for gods sake !!!!!!!!!

Its all going to start unravelling soon I bet, and I still think that Kristin will do a bunk with the money and let Zain take all the rap.

Hm, why didnt she run off with the money after the shooting when she had the chance? I reckon Zain will be bumped off as I read somewhere the actor who plays him wants to try his luck in Hollywood. Shame as he is a nice piece of eye candy. We have dopey "Ruby" coming in next week as Honey's replacement, I cannot wait

Oooh it was good again last night. Meadows and Phil are onto Zain (or they have their suspicions anyway after the Columbian they have in custody dobbed him in).

Honey's body was found (with most of the Sun Hill cops watching as her googly eyed bod was fished out the canal). Unfortunately we couldnt tell whether or not Will (Gary Lucy) was upset or not as he only ever has one expression.

On the bright side he headbutted the grotesque Dan Casper last night. Yay.

Oh and Mr Creepy Possible Wife Murderer, Matt the CPS man, got all peculiar with Emma........... fab.

And despite him being a rubbish actor, I still luv Zain.

I thought Kaffy from Eastenders's detective skills were a bit lax when Emma, running off from her husband rubbing her arm in pain, tears in her eyes said to Sgt Kaffy, "Ive errrm got a cold, Im errrmm ill, I need to go home" , with Sgt Kaffy not sussing anything was wrong.

I agree that Sargeant Kaffy (cant remember her name) was very lax. She did seem either to think it odd at all that Honey had not got in touch with her mother or stayed the night with her as arranged nor could she be contacted, she just kept dismissing it as "aaaag she's on 'oliday". Gina's back - yeah!::funky:

I have a feeling Zain will come crawling back with his tail between his legs a bit like the likes of Robbie Williams and Martine McCutcheon have had to do, following boasts of "Ive got an agent and Im going to crack america".

Much as I like Zain, I agree he is a terrible actor and although nice looking, not quite what the Americans would go for. They prefer square jawed jocks such as John Barrowman (who does nothing for me).

Glad Gina is in it more these days, I heart her. Reg is back in it next week too! He had a nervous breakdown and had to have some time off, so it looks like he is better....

If that ever happened I would burn my Ian Fleming collection in protest...not only does he lack any form of acting ability he also lacks one of the key Bond requirements...he can't look in a way that makes you want to shag him one second (sorry Pan) and run for fear of death the next...although when he opens his mouth I have had suicidal thoughts in the past!

Zain, James Bond............... errr no, sorry. He doesnt have the acting ability or the suaveness.

Anyone see last nights episode? So Zain, after lying through his teeth for the last god knows how many months has a sudden attack of conscience just as he is about to step onto the boat to freedom? Sorry but what an anti-climax.

I knew Kristin would betray him in the end, she wouldve killed him !

So thats the end of Zain then.....

I suppose we will have google eyes' funeral next week.

Will was annoying the hell out of me last night, constantly repeating "this is doin' my 'ead in, I cant dooooo this............" every time someone mentioned Honey. He has all the emotional range of plank of wood doesnt he? His bland face never changes does it?

Reg was back last night, yayyyyyy.....

No sign of D.I. husky voice Nixon or Slimy Sergeant Stuart.

I may have to move my lecherous allegiance from Zain to Phil Hunter now, as he's been looking a bit hot recently (despite my other half saying he looks like a chimp lol).

Either way its been a good (if slightly dragged out) storyline. I would never have said it was a year though???? The father of the child is a damn good actor and he and Neil Manson's sometimes uneasy relationship has been really well done.

And MrPandora is with you Coastie, he says he sniggers at the Superintendent's hair style (which looks like its had two rollers put in the front, taken out and just left), but he says he too flinches at those laser beam, pale blue strange eyes..... :shocking:

Nice to see Roger Valentine, D.I. Manson and Amy's father giving most of the rest of Sun Hill a master class in how to act.

The trailer for next week looked a bit weird.... baggy faced misery June Ackland muttering the immortal words "....oh Ive got all the time in the world to do that, once Im retired" followed by footage of a police patrol car crashing.

Would they be awful enough to kill off June rather than happily retire her ? Ahem, sorry.... I mean....

Anyone notice the "ooh she's got a black eye, now she hasnt!" continuity error with June? (Yes I know Im sad).

Glad the Super turned out to be a goody in the end. I doubt I could have taken anymore of the D.A.C's supercilious smirking for much longer without losing the will to live.
