There's a G4 in every bar after every Christmas party, not that original really.

Louis's choice of song tonight just confirmed it for me!

Welcome to SO scorkie

I'm sorry although the boys have good voices and one of them is really cute, they just haven't got the X Factor IMO. For me every song sounds the same and I am now bored with them.

You might find them everywhere, which i dont agree with, but theyre the only ones who have the balls to get up there and do it, and it works for me! And how many people do you see ho look so damn fine in suits. Ah well I'll just have to send in extra votes!

G4 should have already gone out by now. They may have a talent but they're not going to sell many records which, at the end of the day is what this program is about.
I reckon the only one that stands a chance of becoming a pop star with any longevity is Tabby. The others to me, fit into the Jane McDonald catagory.

Well put Billy! Yeh that is a new kind of category in the world of Kariaokee. No doubt any one who wins this will slip off into the same brand of obscurity as jane. Although I know you didn't include Tabitha in that category i think I would. No way is he a rocker if he was he wouldn't let Sharon treat him like his poodle.

G4. Hmmmm. I want to like them and I feel like I should, but I don't really get them. They are obviously talented and they seem like really nice lads, but I think they are being really poorly directed.

They are basically opera singers. They handle the Queen stuff brilliantly, because Queen were basically a Rock Band with an opera twist so their song lend themselves to the G4 style. They also did the Lion King song quite well, too. But it all goes horribly wrong when they are forced to sing mainstream pop stuff using their unique style (E.g. their cover of Baby one more time - Ugghh).

They are good at a certain genre of music, but forcing them to sing well known pop stuff in that genre is a difficult translation. They would probably fare better if they were directed to cover the works of well known singer of that genre such as the Four Tenors etc. Work to their strengths so to sepak.

But either way, their genre of music is not one I particualry like. But they seem like nice lads, they are different and I wish them luck. Iwouldn't be guitted if they won.

Couldn't agree more - they do cut a fine sight in suits - yum yum!! I sort of like them, but I have to agree they are not mainstream 'pop or rock' - but they do definitely have a niche market!!

Default G Phwoar!!

Well hi,
Its taken me 1 1/2 hours to finally get here! .
I've registered, re-registered............LOL!
OK, so the technology fairy didn't visit my christening!

From the first time the 4 lads auditioned I was knocked out by them.
Such a different sound!
I'd buy their stuff and go to their gigs anytime.
My biggest disapointment is that Louis is managing them.
Each week I hope he's going to let them do something 'cutting edge',
wear something funky, dangerous and more suitable for their age.
Sharon, Simon or the neighbour's dog would have more idea!
If they get through this week it'll be in spite of him not because of him.
There, feel better for that!
CK
